Kohima DC revises NH-2 traffic restrictions

Kohima, May 29 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima has revised the traffic restrictions imposed on heavy vehicles along the affected stretch of National Highway-2 between Kohima and Mao. According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem, NCS, the earlier restriction order dated May 12 has been partially modified in view of the movement of essential services. The revised order stated that the restriction will now apply exclusively to heavy vehicles above ten wheels with immediate effect.

Unidentified man found dead in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, MAY 29 (MExN): An unidentified male, estimated to be around 50 years old, was found dead on a footpath near Tragapon junction in Dimapur on May 27.

A press note from the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur informed that a telephonic information was received at Dimapur East Police Station from the Police Control Room at around 6:55 pm stating that an unidentified man was lying dead on the footpath outside Bajrang Motors Parts shop in the Senti Hotel building area at Tragapon junction.

Following the information, police personnel rushed to the spot for verification. An inquest was conducted over the body and, after completion of legal formalities, the deceased was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
