Kohima Police arrests one in hit-and-run case
Kohima, November 15 (MExN): Following a widely circulated social media post over a hit-and-run incident in lower Jail Colony on November 15, Kohima Police has arrested one person in connection of the case. In an update by the Kohima Police, it informed that to inform the driver involved has been identified and apprehended, and added that the vehicle has been seized. It maintained that the Kohima Police has zero-tolerance policy towards such acts of irresponsibility that endangers public safety.
UNB-NCC condemns Burma Camp incident
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The United North Block- Naga Colony Council, Burma Camp, has condemned the overall sequence which has led to the death of late Mhathung Lotha on November 11, stating ‘No words or actions can justify for the loss of lives in our society.’ In an update received here, it stated that the council stands ready to extend its fullest cooperation to the investigating agencies for the deliverance of justice at the earliest. At the same time, the council has cautioned its residents to abide by the law that governs our land which has the capacity to handle all kinds of problems in our daily lives. “Taking law into our hands and appealing for justice at the later stage has become a benchmark for Nagas, it stated. It furthermore appealed to the entire citizen to approach the law enforcing agencies and participate in informing the police promptly at an appropriate time.
Dimapur Police recovers unidentified body
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Dimapur Police has recovered an unidentified person (male) aged around 35-40 years lying dead outside the track at KM 256/22-23 area towards RxR Rangapahar crossing on November 15. According to a Police update, it stated that the Sub Urban Police Station received verbal information at around 12:25 Pm and rushed to the spot for verification. It has ascertained that the cause of dead was suspected to be ‘knocked down by a running train.’ It informed that the dead body was taken to District Hospital Morgue for Post Mortem examination and identification. It also informed that the deceased had a fair complexion, wearing black and white checked shirt, black pant and green sneaker.
