Western Sümi Baptist Churches Association (WSBAK) in commemoration of the upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebration organised a ‘two wheeler rally’ on April 26. The rally was flagged off by WSBAK Council, President, Er Ahoto Zhimomi at Zükihe Village. It covered almost 190 kms and culminated at Thilixü village with a brief thanksgiving ceremony. More than 450 riders including one female participated in the rally. According to WSBAK Executive Secretary Rev Dr Phughoto Sema, the association which has 174 churches will be celebrating 75 years of its existence on December 11, 2022 and this rally was organised with an aim to encourage peace and tranquillity in our society. In this image released by a concern citizen, the footbridge near Nagarjan Junction, Dimapur is seen in a depleting condition. ‘For almost a year, the footbridge has been in treacherous condition for pedestrians to walk. The iron bridge is rusted and there are holes in it. The bridge condition can sustain only for a month or two,’ Aroty Jamir said in a press note. Jamir also said that two people from the opposite side cannot cross paths with each other due to the condition of the footbridge. “As a concerned pedestrian who passes by this route, I think that the concerned authority should think over this problem so that the pedestrian can use this footbridge safely and securely,” Jamir stated. The Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) Women Ministry conducted the Duranno Mother School at Khensa Baptist Church, Khensa village from April 21 to 24. A total of 35 participants attended the school where the resource persons were Moamongla, Associate Pastor Women DABA, Rongsenchila, Secretary, Women Ministry, DABA and Renemsongla. Khensa Baptist Church Women Ministry and Khensa Sensotür Mungdang have extended gratitude to DABA Women Ministry for sponsoring the mother school. 

A new dental unit at SD Jain Charitable Clinic, Dimapur was inaugurated on April 23. The unit was inaugurated by Omprakash Sethi, President, Jain Samaj, Prakash Chand Ajmera, Secretary, Jain Samaj and Indra Devi Gangwal, President Jain Mahila Samaj, Dimapur in presence of Narendra Jain, Secretary and Praveen Patni, Joint Secretary, SD Jain Charitable Clinic. The clinic will be open from 10:00 am till 6:00 pm (Monday to Friday). Registration fee is Rs 100. This dental chair with X-ray facility was donated by ladies youth wing of Jain Samaj, Sanmati Mahila Samaj.
