Assam Rifles organized a wreath laying ceremony in honour of Rifleman/General Duty (Late) Nokzar Ao at his native Mangmetong village in Mokokchung district. A press release informed that Nokzar made the supreme sacrifice for the nation on April 14, 2009 in general area of Leisin Kongkan located in Kamjong district of Manipur. A total of 3 Officers, 22 JCOs and 70 ORs including NOK and relatives of Rifleman/General Duty (Late) Nokzar Ao attended the ceremony.
