The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) visited Yemhi Memorial College, Dimapur and interacted with the college Principal on July 8. ANCSU Information & Publicity Secretary, Aochuba P Jamir informed that the main focus of the discussion included the problems faced by nascent private colleges to adopt and perform under the upcoming Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), which is to be implemented by the colleges under Nagaland University in the upcoming academic sessions. Swachhta Action Plan, Unity College Dimapur organized ‘food distribution program’ to the COVID-19 patients and health workers on July 3. The team visited District Hospital Dimapur and COVID Centre DC Complex Chumukedima and distributed food packages. KVK Wokha conducted frontline demonstration on soybean at Tsungiki village with a total of 30 participants on July 7. The programme was chaired by Dr Mhalo Tungoe, ACTO (Agril Extension) and lecture on ‘Package of practices of Soybean’ was delivered by Bendangla Imsong, ACTO (Plant Breeding). The demonstration was conducted in three villages – Mungya, Tsungiki and Longsachung.

Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) has elected a new team of office bearers led by S Throngso as President and Tsuyihba Yimchunger as General Secretary.
