As notified by the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant on April 13, casting of Postal Ballot by the Absentee Voters Essential Services (AVES) category for the 18th Lok Sabha election has commenced from April 13 at Postal Voting Centre (PVC) set up at DB's Court, DC Office Complex Kohima. A two-day free medical camp was held at Thonoknyu, Noklak on April 12 and 13. Dr Khunyu and his team from District Hospital Noklak provided free eye check-up and Thonoknyu PHC team did NCD Screening and provided essential healthcare services and free medicine. As part of the academic and extra-curricular activities, four schools under Kohima Town i.e. GMS New Ministers' Hill, GMS Officers Hill, GMS Merhulietsa and GMS Aradura organized its first Inter-School Football and Volley Ball Tournament at Jotsoma Village ground on April 12 last. GMS New Ministers' Hill boys football team lifted the football champion title while GMS Officers Hill girls team won volleyball champion title.
