Wangkhao Government College conducted 24th Freshers’ Day on August 23 under the theme “Embracing Individuality”. The batch of 2025 Freshers were honoured with a special programme held at the college campus with Wennyei (NCS) Deputy Commissioner, Mon,& Chairman College Advisory Board, as the Special Guest. Phangmei Konyak, crowned Charisma at Miss Grand India 2025, was invited as the Chief Judge for the Mr and Miss Fresher Contest. The event was also graced by the presence of Alumni. Dr. Tialila, Prinicipal received the guests, invitees and Freshers with a welcome address.

The 1st Runners-up titles went to Yimtijungshi Ozukum and Hmingropuii, and the 2nd Runners-up titles were awarded to Phukito and Neivino Tsükru.The 38thFreseshers’ Day of SJC (A), Jakhama was celebrated with pomp and show to welcome the 1224 newly admitted Josephites to Undergraduate and Post Graduate programmes on August 23.A mega blood donation camp was organized by Brahma Kumaris Kohima on August 24. The occasion was graced by V Shashank Shekhar, IAS. A pledge for "Nasha Mukt Bharat" was also made. 16 personnel from the 78 Bn CRPF donated blood in a commendable act of service beyond the call of duty.
