The Office of Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Kohima conducted an awareness programme on EVM & VVPAT at Kohima Orphanage on December 7. During the programme, ADC Kohima Rhosietho Nguori highlighted the various aspects of EVM & VVPAT functions. He also demonstrated on how the EVM & VVPAT works to the young and eligible voters who have applied for enrollment in the Electoral Roll. Department of Youth Resources & Sports organized Tug of War at the Main Arena, Kisama on December 7. In the men’s category, the Chakhesang Cultural Troupe defeated the Garo tribe by 2-0, and in the women’s category, the Rengma Cultural Troupe defeated the Kuki tribe. The quarter final and final matches will be played on December 8, right after the cultural presentation in the morning session.
