Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCD), Pastors Fellowship programme was held at Chakhesang Baptist Church Dimapur (CBCD) with the theme ‘Christ is your life’ Colossian 3:4 on March 23 and 24 with Rev Dr Kevekhalo Lasuh, Chairman, CBCC Pastors Fellowship and Rev Dr Vezopa Tetseo, Pastor CBC Diphupar as the speakers. Altogether 155 delegates from 91 churches under CBCC attended the programme.

An enforcement drive under COTPA 2003 Section 6(b) was jointly conducted by the District Tobacco Control Cell Kohima, North Police Station and South Police Station Kohima on March 23 last. A total of 50 offenders were imposed fine and the seized tobacco items were later destroyed at South Police Station in the presence of the Officers in-charge. This was stated in a release issued by District Tobacco Control Cell, Kohima.
NSS Unit Immanuel College, Dimapur organised a career guidance seminar for 6th semester students of both Arts and Science on March 24. The resource persons were Dr Keyi Ndang, Medical Officer, Nagaland Homeopathy Centre and Likokba, Jnr Divisional Accountant, Treasuries and Accounts, Government of Nagaland. The seminar was led by Hrüzia, NSS Convener Immanuel College and concluded with a vote of thanks by Th Sharatchandra Singh, Principal, Immanuel College followed by an interactive session. Peren Government College (PGC) organized a seminar on career guidance with Maj Tadi, 36 Assam Rifles, Peren Post as the resource persons on March 24. In the session, Maj Tadi spoke on the crucial role played by the security force in protecting the country both from internal and external threats. He elaborated on various opportunities available and how to prepare for NDA & CDS exams and pattern. The programme was chaired by Joseph, Assistant Professor, PGC; welcome address by Albert, Vice Principal, PGC and concluded with vote of thanks by chairperson. Peren Government College (PGC) organized its 33rd fresher’s day cum orientation at the college auditorium on March 20. PGC, Vice Principal, Albert in his exhortation asked the students to work sincerely in order to excel not only in studies but in all walks of life. PGC Assistant Professor, Lemtsaliba Jing oriented the fresher’s on the semester system in undergraduate course studies.
