Kohima, January 26 (MExN): The 4th General Session of the Nagaland NGOs Forum (NNF) was held on January 24 at the conference hall of Tourist Lodge, Dimapur under the theme “To serve the suffering humanity.”
The outgoing president Povotso Lohe in his presidential address called upon the NGOs across the state who are engaged in charity works to rededicate their service towards the suffering humanity with greater efforts and emphasized the aims and objectives of the Forum in providing a common platform for the NGOs in the State while striving for safeguarding their rights and privileges.
During the session, a new team of office bearers for the next 3 years term have been selected through a Selection Committee constituted earlier.
President-Dr Andrew Ahoto, Vice President- Vikali A Zhmomi, General Secretary- Azungla James, Assistant General Secretary- Jess T Murry, Treasurer- Annie Jain , Finance Secretary-Mariam Phom, Joint Finance Secretary- Keren Sumi, Organising Secretary- Alole and Information & Publicity Secretary- Lisali.
The new President, Dr Andrew Ahoto in his short speech appreciated the sincere efforts undertaken by the outgoing team on various issues for the upliftment of the Forum to a higher level of recognition while also assured to render his best service to the Forum.
Earlier, the invocation was pronounced by Rev Dr Vikheshe Chishi while vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice President Vikali A Zhimomi. The Financial report for the outgoing tenure was approved by the House while Nungsangmeren, General Secretary had presented the Secretary's report.
