Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): Training of Medical Officers on Measles Catch Up campaign was conducted at BookMarc Conference Hall, Dimapur on September 2. Dimapur District Immunization Officer Dr. R Chielie informed in a press release informed that Nagaland along with 13 other States in the country will have Measles Catch-up campaign in the month of October 2011. This is a special campaign to vaccinate all children in a wide age group with measles vaccine. The campaign dose is given to all children, both previously vaccinated and un-vaccinated who have completed 9 months of age and are below 10 years of age. In Dimapur, the target population is 75954 for measles vaccine. The resource persons were Dr. M. Kire, State Immunization Officer, Dr. Temsu, WHO and Dr. R. Chielie, Dist. Immunization Officer. Other officials present were Dr. Sukhato A. Sema and Anupam Verma, UNICEF. A total of 35 Medical Officers from both public and private sectors participated.
