One person was wounded in another road mishap on the Dimapur-Kohima highway. It was a collision involving a motorcycle and a four-wheeler (Mahindra Scorpio), which occurred near the Unity gate, adjacent to the Chathe River Bridge at around 1:00 pm.
According to sources, the bike rider sustained grievous injury requiring admission into intensive care. The bike was proceeding towards Kohima and allegedly hit by an oncoming Scorpio. The rider, aged around 40 years, was thrown off the bike on impact, and plunged down the side of the road. The person on the wheel of the Scorpio was said to be in his 60s.
