The delegation from Nagaland attended the 5th Foundation Day of the Union Ministry of Cooperation at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on July 6.
Kohima, Jul 7 (MExN): A four-member delegation from Nagaland, representing four Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies (PACS), attended the 5th Foundation Day of the Union Ministry of Cooperation at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on July 6.
Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and other dignitaries graced the event, an update received here said.
The delegation comprised one representative each from Mokokchung and Chümoukedima districts and two from Kohima district. The members were Opangtemsu (Mokokchung), Atsubou Sanchu and Khriehuto Yase (both Kohima), and Lhikhro Kreo (Chümoukedima).
The programme highlighted the Centre's vision of strengthening the cooperative movement and promoting inclusive rural development through the cooperative sector, the release said.
The delegation expressed gratitude to NABARD and the Department of Cooperation, Government of Nagaland, for facilitating their participation in the national event.
