Wins for DEF Tuensang, Mokokchung, Dimapur, 1 NAP and 6 NAP

Kohima, November 11 (MExN): The Nagaland Police Duty-cum-Sports Meet 2024 kicked off with the football league matches on Monday, showcasing an exciting start to the annual event. Teams from various police battalions and district enforcement forces went head-to-head in a series of intense matches across four groups.

In Group B, Team DEF Tuensang clinched a 2-0 victory over IGP (INT), displaying robust coordination and teamwork. The Group C face-off saw DEF Mokokchung overcome the 14 NAP (IR) Battalion with a 2-1 scoreline, while Group A witnessed a dominating performance from the 6 NAP Battalion, who trounced the 12 NAP (IR) Battalion with a decisive 6-0 win.

Group B’s other matchup had DEF Wokha defeating CP Dimapur 4-2, showcasing a thrilling game of strategic plays and resilience. Group C’s clash between the 1 NAP Battalion and the 4 NAP Battalion ended in a narrow 2-1 victory for the 1 NAP Battalion. Finally, in Group D, DEF Mon claimed a 3-1 win over the 2 NAP Battalion, rounding off an action-packed day.

The Nagaland Police Duty-cum-Sports Meet, an annual tradition, continues to foster camaraderie and competition among police personnel, with participants vying for top honors across a variety of sports.
