Nagaland registers 64 new  COVID cases, 125 recoveries

Nagaland recorded 64 fresh COVID-19 infections on Thursday, taking the total caseload to 25,727 while 125 people were cured of the disease. The daily sample positivity rate was 6.70%.

The new cases on July 8 were reported from Dimapur (12), Kohima (21), Longleng (2), Mokokchung (18), Mon (5), Peren (3) and one each in Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto.

Meanwhile, a total of 125 COVID-19 positive patients: Dimapur (19), Kohima (35), Mokokchung (21), Mon (5), Peren (6), Phek (3) and Tuensang (36) recovered during the day, taking the total number of recovered patients to 23,501.

No new COVID-19 death was reported on July 8 and the death toll in the State remained at 491, as per the COVID-19 bulletin issued by the State health department.

Nagaland currently has 1,004 active COVID-19 cases, with 76 admitted in COVID hospitals and 866 under home isolation at present.
