Nagaland CAWD & Taxes advisor Kudecho Khamo today inaugurated a new school- The Jewels Academy at Hozheto Bari Kushiabill Sector- I, Dimapur.

Addressing the gathering, Khamo commended all the educational institutions for their contribution in nurturing and shaping young minds who are future leaders, policy makers, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, technocrats, educationists, social workers, church leaders and responsible men & women in the society.

Praising the private schools, he said “The private schools in Nagaland are now very competitive and even competing with the rest of schools in the country.”

He opined that Nagaland also should envision to become educational hub-focusing academic excellence with skill and value based education where thousands of students going outside every year can be retained and also attract students  from outside the state to come and study here.

Of late, the Govt. has been trying its best to provide proper infrastructures and teachers to deliver quality education at the doorsteps, but, needs active support and participation of all the stakeholders, he said.

Khamo said that true education should begin with knowing God and walking in His ways.

“Our purpose here is not only to impart academic excellence, but also to nurture young minds with truth, love, discipline, and integrity,” he said.

Stating that education must shape both the mind and soul, he said “In a world full of challenges, we aim to raise students who are not only intelligent but also God-fearing, compassionate, and responsible citizens. Therefore, the Academy should serve as a place where faith and learning go hand in hand-where students will be encouraged to discover their God-given talents and use them for the greater good & glory of God.”

Khamo was optimistic the Academy would build future leaders & responsible citizens, guided by Christian values.

“Academic excellence without morality, integrity, character, faith is a threat to the society,” he said, adding “Together, let us build an environment where our children can flourish in both learning and faith.”

As we dedicate this school to the service of God and humanity, may the academy become a center of excellence, a beacon of hope, and a testimony of God’s faithfulness, Khamo added.

He lauded Rev. Zaseyi Veswuh, Founding Chairman, Jewels Academy for initiating this school.

Earlier, Rev. Dr. N. Paphino, president Nagaland Joint Christian Forum made a special address and act of blessings.

Greeting was shared by Dr. Hitoka Assumi, SMC Member, Hozheto Bari Kushiabill Sector- I.
