The 45 Assam Rifles organised an Open Basketball Tournament from July 11 to 16 July for the youth of Bhandari Town. A total of 9 teams participated in the tournament. League matches were played from July 11 to 15 and the final was played on July 16 between Team Net Rippers and Team DBHSS. The final was won by Team DBHSS with a Cash Prize of Rs 20,000, medal, certificates and trophy; while Rs 5000 was awarded to Net Rippers as runners up.
