The Nagaland State BJP has voiced full support for National BJP president JP Nadda's letter addressed to Congress President Sonia Gandhi on May 11 last.
“In such a trying time as this, amidst the Corona global pandemic, the NDA led BJP Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working closely with all Chief Ministers and various stake holders and all Government agencies, in an effort to combat and contain the pandemic situation with a vision to provide safety to all Indian Citizens across the Country,” the state BJP media cell stated in a statement made available during a press conference in Kohima today.
“It is very unbecoming of a political party like the Congress exhibiting cheap political gimmicks to gain undue mileage out of the pandemic situation with nefarious hidden agenda as to even blame the BJP of mishandling the COVID crisis,” the media cell stated.
Reacting to statements about Modi Government abdicating its responsibility on the vaccination drive across the nation, the State BJP said that it is the Congress top leaders who are creating unnecessary confusions and chaos amongst the citizens- thereby misleading people and giving false alarm and panic.
Instead of extending their services to help the nation during these challenging times, the Congress party leaders are busy spreading rumors and negativity everywhere, India's vaccination strategy has been guided by global interest, it alleged.
“In fact, a vaccine that is made in India is a matter of great national pride for every Indians. Yet, the Congress party does not even have the courtesy to appreciate our scientists, doctors and innovators who had raced against time to find a vaccine, which only goes on to show their dubious politicking and dirty antics,” it added.
Regarding the question of providing supportive medical infrastructure to fight against COVID-19, the media cell stated that the Government of India discussed the need for ventilators with all the States.
As a follow up, so far 45,000 fans were procured in mission mode and sent to all the states.
Congress leaders are doing no favor to themselves by blaming BJP of every mishap when they themselves are to blame for their follies, it further stated.
“The newest trend for Congress party seemed to be putting blame on all Central Vista Project, the Congress seemed to be relishing their past glories and cannot come to term with the reality that BJP NDA Government is working round the clock to take India forward as a country at par with the rest of the world,” it stated.
The Congress leader's idea of weakening the moral of the frontline COVID warriors is demeaning themselves. Yet, this is not the time to play political gimmick; but this is the time to come together to help our fellow citizens, it stated adding “Powered by our corona warriors, India is on war jogging to fight against the global pandemic. The BJP led Narendra Modi Government is conducting the largest vaccination Drive,” it claimed.
The state BJP urged Congress leaders to “Have passion to come together and extend your resources and energy to help our fellow Indian citizens in such a time as this.”
