Kepozo Kapuh
New Delhi, June 17 (MExN): Kepozo Kapuh, a postgraduate student of Political Science from Nagaland, has been conferred the Best Responder Award at the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026, held here from June 15 to 17.
The national-level programme, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with MY Bharat, brought together outstanding youth representatives from across the country to deliberate on governance, public policy, social justice and nation-building.
This year’s Youth Parliament was conducted under the theme “Nari Shakti Vandan: Catalysing Inclusivity and Viksit Bharat 2047,” with discussions centred on women’s leadership, inclusivity, social justice, empowerment and the role of young people in shaping a developed India by 2047.

Representing Nagaland, Kapuh participated as the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, engaging in debates alongside delegates selected from various states and Union Territories through a rigorous multi-stage selection process.
His performance during the Question Hour and parliamentary deliberations earned him the Best Responder Award, carrying a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.
During the programme, Kapuh was also interviewed by Sansad TV, the official television channel of Parliament.
The event was attended by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, senior officials, bureaucrats and Members of Parliament, who also served as judges during various sessions.
Kapuh is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Political Science at St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama. He has consistently represented Nagaland at several state and national-level youth leadership programmes, debates and parliamentary platforms.
His latest achievement is being viewed as a significant recognition of the potential and leadership capabilities of Naga youth on the national stage.
