Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): Students from School of Agricultural Sciences & Rural Development (SASRD), Medziphema interacted with President of India Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi on February 19, 2017.
During the interaction, the President acquainted himself with problems and issues faced by the youths of the region and encouraged them to contribute towards the development and well being of the region, stated a press release issued by Assam Rifles.
The 13 students from SASRD who interacted with the President are part of the ‘National Integration Tour’ organised by 41 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), which was flagged off on February 14 in Medziphema.
Post interaction, a group photograph with the President was organized followed by visit of the students to Rashtrapati Bhavan.
