Nagaland took two medals at the 69th National School Games Taekwondo U-14 Boys Championship, which concluded on October 30. Shiuthong took the gold medal in the under-32 kg category, while Keyizieteibe bronze in the under-18 kg category. With 4 medals, the team from Mahashtra emerged as the overall champion. (See Table)

The championship, supported by the Nagaland state government under the School Games Federation of India (SGFI), featured competitors from 35 states and various school boards. The championship was hosted at the K Kire Badminton Stadium, Nagaland Police Complex, Chümoukedima from October 28 to 30.

Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse was the special guest at the closing ceremony. She lauded the participants for their discipline and determination. While winning medals are important, she said that the under-14 tournament is about discovering potential, building confidence, and cultivating the drive to aim higher. According to her, Taekwondo is not just a sport but a discipline that builds character and encouraged the athletes to aspire for international accolades.
