Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): The Sanskar Bharati Nagaland has informed that APNA POORVOTTAR a 45-day long cultural and social festival to showcase and promote the cultural heritage, tradition, custom, festival, food habits, folk dance/music/instruments/arts/theater, handloom, handicrafts, tourist places, history, great personalities and natural beauty of entire North Eastern states through different mode of cultural and artistic presentation will be held at Allahabad from January 12 to March 4, 2019 .
With the initiatives of the Sanskar Bharati Nagaland chapter and in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture New Delhi, various artiste and cultural dance troupe from 16 indigenous tribes comprising of more than 350 artistes from Nagaland will be participating in this 45 days long mega event.
The organizers stated in a press release that the aim of participation in this programme is to help promote our Naga culture to all states of India and the surrounding neighboring countries through cultural dances and various participations.
Some important schedules are as follows:
• January12, 2019 Inaugural ceremony where two cultural dance troupe from Ao and Sumi community will participate.
• January 20-23, 2019 is allotted as Nagaland Special Day where all the 16 indigenous tribes will be presenting their own cultural dances.
• February 12-14, 2019 'Intellectuals Meet' will be held under the theme "Connect to Scholars" in which there will be seminars on literature, art and culture.
• February 15-19, 2019 Theater Festival where Hills Theater of Nagaland will participate.
