Nagaland to host 22nd annual CPA India Region Zone-III Conference

Kohima, October 27 (MExN): Nagaland is set to host the 22nd Annual Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-III Conference at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from November 9 to 13, 2025. The conference will be held under the theme “Policy, Progress & People: Legislatures as Catalysts of Change.”

The CPA India Region Zone-III series serves as a vital platform for the eight Northeastern States to discuss and find common solutions to regional challenges, covering areas such as economic development, policy issues, and efforts to build a stronger, unified voice for the region.

According to a statement, Speaker of the Lok Sabha Om Birla will serve as the Chief Patron of the conference, while Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio will be the Vice Patron. Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Sharingain Longkumer, who is also the Chairman of CPA India Region Zone-III, has extended invitations to all Presiding Officers of the Northeast Legislatures and other dignitaries to attend the event.

The conference will feature plenary sessions, expert panels, practical workshops, stall exhibitions, and cultural programmes. These segments are designed to highlight legislative innovation, procedural reforms, transparency, and inclusive governance across the Northeastern region.
