KOHIMA, JANUARY 23 (MExN): Nagaland will participate in the 60th National Cross Country Championships 2026, scheduled to be held on January 24 at Ranchi, Jharkhand, according to a press release issued by the Nagaland Athletics Association on January 23.
The Nagaland team will be led by Moalong Jamir, who will serve as team coach-cum-manager. The association informed that the contingent comprises athletes who delivered promising performances during the Nagaland Cross Country Championships 2025 and were selected based on their merit and potential.
The participating athletes in the senior men’s category are Wede Tmero and Nahtei N. Wangnao. In the under-18 boys’ 4 km category, Chongsop P will represent the state, while Supie will compete in the under-16 girls’ 2 km category.
The Nagaland Athletics Association extended its best wishes to the athletes for a strong performance at the national championship.
