Nagaland: Tuensang green zone returnees move on for home quarantine

Tuensang, June 1 (MExN): The Tuensang District Task Force for COVID-19 has informed that a total of 26 individuals who arrived from green zones who have completed 14 days mandatory institutional quarantine have been released on June 1.


The decision was made during a meeting at DC conference hall on Monday under the Task Force chairperson and Tuensang Deputy Commissioner Kumar Ramnikant, according to a DIPR report.


It was informed that the 36 individuals- 17 females and 19 males who were at Abigail Hostel Longkhim and Setam Polytechnic quarantine facilities will be released with medical certifications and standing orders in case they face problems while entering villages and wards. They will then be required to undertake seven more days of mandatory home quarantine under the supervision of a medical team.


The house also discussed on the emergency retesting of the returnees from the red zone and decided to request further tests on priority. A report on engineers’ visit for the construction and installation of BSL 2 laboratory at Tuensang was also discussed, according to the DIPR.
