Nagaland University Professor conferred Prof PC Trivedi Medal

Shillong, November 6 (MExN): Professor Joginder Singh Panwar from the Department of Botany at Nagaland University has been awarded the Prof. P.C. Trivedi Medal for Editorial Excellence 2025 by the Indian Botanical Society (IBS).

The award was presented during the 48th All India Botanical Conference held at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) from October 29 to 31.

According to the citation, Prof. Panwar was honoured for his significant contributions as an author, editor, and researcher in the field of Plant-Microbe Interactions.

His editorial work includes 31 books published by major international academic publishers like Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis, with a focus on translating microbial science into real-world environmental and agricultural solutions. He has also been serving as an Associate Editor for 'Frontiers in Environmental Science' since 2020.

Prof. Panwar has published 266 research and review articles in peer-reviewed journals and 125 authored or co-authored book chapters. His other achievements include eight published and four granted patents, and he has mentored fifteen PhD scholars.

He has gained international recognition by being listed in the "World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists" database released by Stanford University and Elsevier for three consecutive years from 2023 to 2025.
