Kohima, June 29 (MExN): In a dazzling display of strength and endurance, the first edition of the State Fitness Challenge was launched at City Centre Medziphema town on June 22 last.
The event was hosted by Alpha Iron Gym in collaboration with Naga Bodybuilding & Fitness Association (NBBFA), Powerlifting Team and Naga Arm Benders. The event was graced by Abe Mero as the guest speaker. Mero encouraged the participants to strive for excellence in their fitness journey.
Seyievinuo Chuzho captivated the audience with her performance as a guest artist. Athletes from across Nagaland showcased their dedication and skills in various fitness disciplines, including Powerlifting, Cross Fit, Best Athletic Physique and Arm wrestling, captivating the spectators with their awe-inspiring performances.
The competition provided a platform for about 90 athletes across Nagaland.
The State Fitness Challenge proved to be a grand success, not only in fostering a sense of community and fitness among participants but also in promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Meanwhile, the organizers and participants expressed happiness over coming together and celebrate the joy of fitness and strength.

The State Fitness Challenge 2024 aims to promote physical fitness, healthy living, and a spirit of sportsmanship among individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
