A total of 577 beds, 37 ICU and 49 ventilators available across the state according to  COVID-19 Dashboard for Nagaland

In view of the onslaught of the criticism regarding its preparedness as well as availability of public health Infrastructure, including health workers, the government of Nagaland has came with a COVID -19 Dashboard for Nagaland, on online platform to give an “easy access and understand” info on the issue. 


To bring together official COVID-19 related information which is easy to access and understand, COVID-19 Dashboard for Nagaland has been created by the “COVID-19 War Room,” headed by the Chief Secretary, the Chief Minister  Neiphiu Rio tweeted on Saturday. 


A visit to the Dashboard (https://covid19.nagaland.gov.in) on Saturday revealed that info regarding the status as of April 17 was given in the platform. 


Among others, the Dashboard has information on district wise availability of beds, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Isolation Wards, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), N95 masks as well as health personal on duty across the state.
Beds and ICU units


According to the Dashboard, a total of 432 beds were available in COVID-19 Hospital across the district with Kohima leading the pack with 91 beds. Mokokchung and Dimapur closely followed with 88 and 72 respectively. 


However, the availability of beds in Zunheboto was very low with just 8 beds, followed by Tuensang at 13. However, in Zunheboto, there were 21 beds available in isolation ward. 


A total of 145 beds were available in isolation wards across the state.


However, the availability of beds of ICUs was dismally low across the state with a combine total of 37. 
Out of this, 21 were located in Kohima, followed by four in Dimapur.  Longleng, Peren, Tuensang, and Zunheboto have zero ICU while the rest of the district, it was negligible. 

 

Ventilators, PPE and N95 masks
 Across the state, a total of 49 ventilators were available. However, like the ICUs, most of ventilators (16) were in Kohima. There were 10 in Dimapur and 6 in Mokokchung, while the availability in the other districts ranges from 2-4. 


Nagaland seems to be more endowed with PPEs and N95 masks as per the dashboard.   


A total of 15340 PPEs were available across the state with highest share in Kohima with 5405 followed by Dimapur with 2300. The number ranges from 715-1300 in other districts. 


With 12390, Kohima has the highest share of N95 masks, out of the total 23115 available in the state. There were 5300 such masks in Dimapur while in the rest of the districts, the number ranged from 1740-2250. 

 

Heath Workers 
According to the Dashboard, a total of 489 Government Doctors were on duty as of April 17, while 25 were on study leave. Kohima has the highest share of doctors at 97, followed by 61 in Dimapur. Kiphire has the lowest number of doctors on duty at 24. 


There were total of 2117 Government Nurses on duty according to the Dashboard, with 434 in Kohima and 377 in Mokokchung, followed by 262 in Dimapur. 34 nurses were on leave.

 
Meanwhile, the Dashboard informed that a total of 93014 migrants workers have been assisted till date.  Since April 16, 9013 local migrants and 4164l “non-local migrants” have been assisted, it informed. Details regarding the nature of assistance were not given.
