In view of the article recently published in the local dailies pertaining to the present Angami leadership who seems to be lacking the positive qualities except monetary influence as compared to his predecessors in the State arena as Chief Minister. The Northern Angami Public Organisation (NAPO) being the responsible body for each of its member, seriously viewed the issue as a matter of grave concern and categorically term such statement as derogatory against our leader when in a situation one is working with all effort to bring a better change to our society. No doubt, everyone is free to express his personal opinion however, any statement that affects the interest of our Northern Angami community in particular is subjected to certain limit and the same statement is not accepted by the organization. The leadership from our area, be it political, social, religion or in the employment, any individual having the motive of political gain or individual interest issuing any statement that degrade the valuable services of our members cannot be tolerated by the organization.
Through this column we would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge one and all for giving us an opportunity to serve our state at this juncture in a capacity of Chief Minister and which is only possible through the collective supports from our fellow friends and the NAPO feels that it is an appointed time of our Almighty God to let him serve our people at this juncture. Therefore, with no reservation and irrespective of any party’s colour we have been working together for the betterment of our society till today. As such, we appeal to all the readers not to be confused by such publication and which is against the interest of the community. Let us together strengthen the hand of our present leaders and make a better tomorrow rather propagate any negative statement by taking personal interest.
