The decision was taken after a sitting with the Chairman, parliamentary Committee on Monday, NASSA General Secretary Talirenla and JAC Secretary Sezoto Theyo informed in a press release. “Having no response from the Government of Nagaland in regard to the demands of the NASSA/JAC on the revocation of the appointment order of Dr PJ Antony (Retired Officer) to the post of Principal Secretary,” the NASSA and JAC have decided to continue with its indefinite agitation, it said.

The release stated that earlier on June 15; the parliamentary Committee had assured that it would “look into the matter at the earliest.” However, it expressed dismay that the Committee had “failed to convey any concrete response from the Government.” Therefore, it was resolved that the agitation will continue till the appointment order is revoked, it said.
