The Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) will be holding its 46th Biennial General Conference from March 26 to 28 at Botsa Village under the theme “Embracing chance and transformation.”
The three-day long conference will be marked by volleyball championship for Lt. Suolahie Theiinuo Memorial Volleyball Trophy, debate on “Naga customary laws should always remain unchanged,” extempore speech, devotional service, election of new team of office bearers etc.
Presently, NASU is headed by Thepfurüya Theünuo as the president.
Conference dignitaries
Neidilhou Angami, Additional Director, Department of Economic & Statistic, Nagaland will be the special guest for introductory session on March 26 at 4:00 pm.
Medo Yhokha, Advisor, Technical Education and Election, Government of Nagaland will grace the inaugural function on March 27 at 10:00 am.
Teisovise Metha, Commandant, 4th NAP Thizama will be the special. Guest for valedictory function on March 28 at 3:00 pm.
Zhau Sanchu, Principal, Hope Institute of Theology will be the speaker of devotional service on March 28 at 9:30 am.
Dr. Avinuo Kire, poet, writer & educator will be the critic for literary session on March 27 at 1:00 pm. The panelist will include; Dr Ruokuovilie Mezhatsu, senior scientist & Head KVK Kohima and Dr. Theyiesinuo Kedistsu, Asst. Prof. Kohima College, Kohima.
General information
NASU informed delegates to come with at least one traditional attire.
All the units must come prepared with atleast two items for extravaganza nite, it stated.
Further, all unit must endorse qualified intending candidates for the election to the various post in the NASU executive council and union assembly for the tenure 2021-2023.
