The 54th annual session of the Natha New Students’ Union (NNSU) was held from December 28 to 30 under the theme “Bringing the Future to Life at Its Zenith.”
Agripreneur V Tito Zhimomi graced the programme as the chief guest, while Toino S Rotokha, Executive Officer of the Nagaland Khadi and Village Industries Board (NKVIB), attended as the guest of honour. Area Education Officer L Holuto Ayemi was the theme speaker. The exhortation was delivered by Viki K Zhimo, President of the Zunheboto Range Students’ Union.
Addressing the gathering on December 29, Zhimomi emphasised the importance of the Word of God, stating that “where there is God’s Word, there is life.” Speaking on divine life, he said Jesus Christ came with a purpose and cited scriptures from John 10:10 and Romans 12:5.
He explained that death separates people both physically and spiritually and said that God created human beings to have fellowship with Him. Noting that there are many religions in the world, he referred to Jesus Christ as the “Last Adam.”
Zhimomi stressed that life’s journey cannot be run alone and encouraged students to rely on God and receive His holiness while they are alive. He further reminded the students that God has a greater plan for everyone and urged them to draw strength and encouragement from the Scriptures.
He added that eternal life comes through confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and encouraged students to love, hear and obey the Word of God, stating that obedience brings transformation. He concluded by saying that nothing is impossible with the Word of God.
The annual session featured various cultural performances, cultural competitions and literary events, including debate, essay writing, painting, Bible recitation and poetry recitation competitions.
The session also witnessed the induction of new office bearers for the 2026–2027 tenure, with Avikali Z Zhimo sworn in as president and Zhimokali K Rotokha as general secretary.
