National Mental Health Prog organises training of trainers

Dimapur, July 20 (MExN): Training of Trainers for District Mental Health Programme (DMPH) staff on Life Skill Education, Stress Management and Suicidal Prevention was held from July 19 to 20 at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. It was organised by National Mental Health Programme (NMHP), Nagaland.  

Resource Person Dr. Devvarta Kumar, Addl. Professor, Department of Clinical Psychology, NIMHAS, Bangalore oriented the DMHP staff of Nagaland on how to conduct an effective workshop and sensitization programme in the domain of Life Skills Education, Stress Management and Sensitization Programme for Suicide Prevention.  

The entire training was divided into sessions and each session comprised of various group activities and post-session assessments, informed a press release from Dr. Khriezotuo Paphino, Deputy Director, SPO, NMHP Nagaland.  

Earlier in the training, Dr. Khriezotuo Paphino, SPO-NHMP welcomed the participants and gave brief introduction of the programme. Terming the training first of its kind in the State, he encouraged the participants to be sincere and upscale their knowledge for improvement of the programme.  

The participants included Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatric Nurses and Psychiatric Social Workers from various districts of the State.
