Dimapur, December 18 (MexN): The 5 days District Level Youth Convention cum National Integration Camp concluded on 17th Dec. 2011 with a closing function held at Council hall, Mon. The ADC Mon Kuko Mero graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his short speech he advised the youths to learn to respect the culture and customs of their fellow being and bring unity and oneness of the great Indian Union. He also said that India is the largest democratic nation in the world and a land of many cultures. The youths who are the leaders of tomorrow should know to live with unity in diversity and make India the strongest nation in the world.
S. hongpi konyak, DPRO, mon in a press note stated that the keynote address was proposed by John Makhabo, Co-ordinator, DYC (NYK), Mon while welcome address and vote of thanks was pronounced by Nokpang NYC and Peihwang NYC, Mon respectively. Cultural Programme and Voice of young delegates from India by each state and prize distribution were the highlights of the function.
