DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 18 (MExN): The Department of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences of International University, Nagaland, observed the 8th National Naturopathy Day on the campus with participation from students and faculty members.
The programme opened with a welcome address by Dr Jutika Bhuyan, who highlighted the growing relevance of naturopathy in promoting a healthy lifestyle. Vice Chancellor Dr Dipak Kumar Shukla, in his address, emphasised the importance of natural healing practices and encouraged students to engage in wellness-based initiatives.
As part of the observance, the department organised a “Cooking Without Fire” competition to promote creativity, healthy eating and awareness of nutritious meal preparation without the use of cooking appliances. Bijen Singha and Pfuchitho Pojar secured the first position, while the second position went to Vimeneno Phira and Chivisa Ngouri.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Bijen Singha, who expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor, faculty members and participants. The event aimed at promoting the principles of naturopathy and encouraging students to adopt natural methods for improved well-being.
