Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Youth Department organised an inclusive youth camp for Persons With Disabilities (PWD) and the Nagamese Baptist Churches Association (NBCA) at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur from August 2 to 4 under the theme “5G” (God, Grow, Genuine, Give & Go), inspired by 1 Timothy 4:12.
A total of 103 campers participated in the camp, including 19 PWD campers with six caregivers for the blind and one sign language interpreter, ensuring that everyone could fully engage with the programme. The camp's speakers were Rev Suhuto, Youth Secretary, NBCC and Diethono Nakhro, State Commissioner for Persons With Disabilities.
The camp was particularly notable for its commitment to inclusivity, highlighting the importance of creating an environment where everyone is welcome and can participate fully, stated a press release received here. “It emphasised the need for an inclusive community and the church’s mission to reflect Christ’s love and acceptance for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.”
