Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): The 27th Annual Session cum Triennial Conference of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Youth Department is scheduled for October 21 to 23, 2011 at WSBAK Mission Centre, Akuvuto, Dimapur under the theme “Being Rooted in The Word of God”. A press note issued by NBCC stated that this conference is organised every third year in different locations with an objective to provide platform for young people to fellowship with one another, to interact, to encourage and to learn from one another, to expose God given different talents in praise of Him and to plan the future course of young people’s ministry.
The conference will be hosted by Youth Department of WSBAK (Western Sumi Association). Rev. Reffery Alan Dieselburg, Pastoral Supervisor, Night Light, Bangkok, Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung, General Secretary, NBCC, Rev. Dr. Kavito Zhimo, Principal TTC, Lianasanti Keyho, Lecturer OTS are the Conference Speakers where the worship team of WSBAK Youth Department will take the whole conference in leading praise & worship.
Some of the highlights of the Conference include official meeting and Youth Council along with host of activities for the young people such as worship time, choirs from BYFD, OTS, Patkai Christian College and TTC besides the good number of choir from different Associations.
The note also mentioned that conference schedule includes competition on a play, celebration night, panel discussion of clean election campaign. There will be a time young to explore themselves to different elective workshops on current youth issues and challenges. The conference targets to cater the needs of the young of 1500 official delegates from 20 associations and two associate member Associations. Moreover, it is also opened to all the young people of nearby Churches and youth of in and around Dimapur.
Those associations who have not informed the office/host are reminded to ascertain the numbers of delegates within this week. The accommodation will be arranged as per to the information received from the associations.
