Kohima, January 9 (MExN): The Nepali Baptist Church Kohima (NBCK) is all set to organize the Gold Cup 50-Ball Cricket Tournament under the aegis of the Golden Jubilee Sports Committee from January 22 to 24, 2026, at the Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School , Kohima Ground.
The six-a-side men’s tennis-ball cricket tournament is being organized as part of the year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations marking 50 years of NBCK, the first Nepali Church in the state of Nagaland, established in 1976.
The tournament champion will receive a cash prize of ₹25,000 along with a trophy, while the runners-up will be awarded ₹15,000 with a trophy. Individual awards include Player of the Tournament (₹5,000 with trophy), Best Batsman (₹2,000 with trophy), and Best Bowler (₹2,000 with trophy).
The tournament is open to all, with a registration fee of ₹1,500 per team. Interested churches, clubs, teams, and associations may obtain and submit registration forms from January 10 by contacting the numbers provided below.
