HSSLC exams from April 6 to 29; HSLC exams from April 7 to 21
Kohima, April 1 (MExN): The HSSLC Examinations 2021 will commence from April 6 till 29 and HSLC Examinations 2021 will be held from April 7 to 21.
A DIPR report informed that in the HSSLC Examination, a total of 16,835 candidates are enrolled (Arts – 13,024, Commerce – 1,347 and Science – 2,464). They will be appearing from 96 provisional examination centres. Out of 16,835 candidates, 8,194 are boys and 8,641 are girls.
Meanwhile, the Class XI Promotion Examination 2021 concluded on March 31, where a total of 17,343 candidates appeared.
23,612 candidates will be appearing for the HSLC Examination 2021 from 133 provisional examination centres and 4 sub centres. 742 candidates will also be appearing the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2021 from 41 examination centres.
It may be noted that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more additional examination centres have been created in the districts and sub divisions in order to maintain social distancing.
On March 17, the Board had an online meeting with the Centre Superintendents where their duties were discussed in detail. They were also briefed about the preventive measures/SOPs to be followed during the conduct of the examination. The Board has delivered materials to the examination centres to disinfect the rooms, washrooms, halls etc.
Candidates have been requested to read the question paper carefully before they start to write the answers. Answers to the questions should be written keeping in mind the marks allotted to it. Candidates are allowed to bring only the materials that are permitted in the examination hall such as pen, pencil, scale, eraser, sharpener and geometry instruments. They are also permitted to bring a pocket hand sanitizer, masks and transparent water bottles. Students are also reminded to refrain from any kind of mal-practices during examinations. Candidates have been advised to reach the examination centre on time.
The Board has appealed to all the candidates to wear masks, observe social distancing norms, avoid contact with unknown persons etc, to protect themselves. It urged parents and guardians to guide their wards on the important guidelines/SOPs and to follow it. “Everyone’s cooperation is needed to avoid spreading of COVID-19 during the conduct of the examinations,” it stated.
