DIMAPUR, JULY 8 (MExN): The Nagaland Cricket Academy (NCA) has announced a series of cricket trials for various age categories, commencing on July 16. The trials aim to identify and nurture young cricket talent across the country.

For the Girls U15 category, players should be born between September 1, 2009, and August 31, 2012. Boys U16 players should be born between September 1, 2008, and August 31, 2010. Players in the U19 category, which includes both boys and girls, should be born on or after September 1, 2005. Similarly, U23 players, both boys and girls, should be born on or after September 1, 2001.

All players will undergo a fitness test as part of the trials. Additionally, players must present a letter of recommendation from their respective district cricket association, along with their original birth certificate, Aadhar card, and PAN card at the time of reporting for document verification. Players are responsible for their own expenses to attend the trials and are allowed to participate in only one category. All players must wear white playing attire during the trials. Document verification will be conducted strictly by the respective District Cricket Associations. Furthermore, Girls U15, Boys U16, and Boys/Girls U19 participants must provide an additional school marksheet or school leaving certificate.

These trials present a crucial opportunity for aspiring cricketers to showcase their skills and potentially secure a place in the national training programs.
