NCC camp concludes at Sainik School Punglwa

Peren, October 16 (MExN): Nagaland (NL) Independent (I) Sainik School Company NCC organised its 109 Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-109) for the training year 2025-26 from October 6 to 15. The ten-day event provided military and life skills training to 168 cadets.

Held from October 6 to 15 for the training year 2025-26, the camp saw the participation of 95 cadets from the Junior Division/Junior Wing and 73 from the Senior Division/Senior Wing.

According to a press release, the cadets were imparted training in a range of activities, including weapon handling, firing, disaster management, fire fighting, cyber security, and first aid. The camp also featured competitive events in drill, volleyball, basketball, and a cultural programme.

Two Associate NCC Officers, One Care Taker Officer alongwith Permanent NCC Instructors from Sainik School Punglwa,  two Instructors from 1 Air Sqn NCC Dimapur and from two Instructors from Assam Rifles were part of this camp. 

The camp's closing ceremony and prize distribution were graced by Col (Dr) Smita Misra, Principal of Sainik School Punglwa. The event featured a cultural bonanza by the cadets, with the overall Best Trophy being bagged by Bravo Company.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Misra commended the enthusiastic participation of the cadets and congratulated the complete NCC staff for their commendable contributions to the overall development of the cadets and the successful conduct of the camp.
