NDAEA exempts some from pen-down strike

Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The Nagaland District Administration Employees Association (NDAEA) has announced an exemption for certain categories of staff from the ongoing Pen-Down Strike, in continuation of its earlier circular dated October 13, and in line with the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) directive issued on October 16. In a circular issued on October 17, the Association stated that after “thorough examination and considering the welfare of the students’ community,” it has decided to exempt Assistants dealing with the issuance of scholarship certificates, Scheduled Tribe certificates, and Indigenous certificates from the purview of the strike. The JCC of CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA, and NF&ASA had earlier extended the ongoing Pen-Down Strike from October 17, 2025, “till further orders.”  “All other modalities for pen down strike issued earlier shall remain enforced,” the NDAEA added.
