LONGLENG, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): A regional office of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) was inaugurated in Longleng on September 21. Lipok Pongen, Senior Vice President, NDPP and Central Executive Board Convenor In-charge, Longleng Region inaugurated the office.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Pongen shared about the concern of the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and Party President, Chingwang Konyak’s enthusiasm to set up the Longleng region office. He also reminded the party leaders to keep up the spirit of the PDA alliance in Longleng region and encouraged them to act as a facilitator to the people for common cause. As the party service is a voluntary, he called upon the party leaders to sacrifice and work for the uplift of the Longleng District under the “strong, efficient and stable leadership” of the CM.
Earlier on September 20, while on the way to Longleng for the inaugural program, the NDPP CEB Team lead by its Convenor took stock of the various problems faced by the people of the areas and thereafter had a meeting with the NDPP 50 A/C at Longleng and took note of their grievances.
