NDPP releases manifesto in Zunheboto

Zunheboto, February 18 (MExN): Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on February 17 released its party manifesto at a public rally held at Zunheboto Public Ground, which was part of the party ‘Star Campaign’ tour for the ensuing Nagaland assembly elections.  

A press release from NDPP Zunheboto Region informed that NDPP Star Campaigner and NDPP-BJP chief ministerial candidate, Neiphiu Rio, in his address stated NDPP was formed to “support early solution to the Naga political issue that is honourable, sustainable and acceptable to the people” and to “draw a fresh road map of progressive development, in order to usher in a new era of genuine peace and lasting prosperity with active participation and involvement of all sections, particularly the youth.”  

He asserted that NDPP-BJP alliance standing on “election for solution ground” shall not fail Nagas’ expectation. Rio also promised development and drastic change in Zunheboto Town by fostering a good relationship with his friend, the NDPP candidate of 35 Zunheboto A/C, if the latter is elected to power by the voters of the constituency.  

Speeches were delivered by KT Sukhalu, NDPP candidate for 35 Zunheboto A/C, Tokheho Yeptho, ex-minister, Abu Metha, Secretary General, NDPP Nagaland.
