NDPP Zunheboto with PDA partners hold meeting

NDPP under 35 AC Zunheboto along with People's Democratic Alliance partners held a meeting at Kawoto Phu on April 8.

Zunheboto, April 8 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) under 35 AC Zunheboto along with People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) partners in the presence of Advisor, F&Cs and Legal Metrology, KT Sukhalu held a meeting in view of the 18th Lok Sabha Election at Kawoto Phu on April 8. 

The meeting was chaired by Kikhevi Yeptho, President, NDPP 35 AC Zunheboto, stated a press release issued by Irali Murumi, General Secretary, Central Women Organisation, NDPP Nagaland and Election Committee, Member 35 AC Zunheboto.
Addressing the meeting, Advisor KT Sukhalu, who is also the representative of 35 AC Zunheboto, said, ‘it is imperative that voters from the constituency stand hand in hand with the rest of Nagaland in voting for the consensus candidate, “as the decision to come together has being influenced by the desire for Naga solution.”’

A DIPR report added, in his speech Sukhalu said, “The primary objective behind having an opposition-less government is to achieve the issue of Naga sovereignty” and assured that “Nagas will develop and move forward once sovereignty is achieved.”  To make it into reality, the Advisor requested the congregation to try to cast maximum percentage in favour of PDA consensus candidate Dr Chumben Murry. 

Meanwhile, the Advisor lamented his inability to provide job opportunities to the unemployed youth, however, assured that he is trying “his best” and encouraged the competitive exam aspirants to try their best till their goal is achieved, the report added. 

In his speech, Ahovi Zhimomi, Working President, NDPP Nagaland acknowledged the GBs for unanimously voting for the right representative in the last general election, the press release stated.  

While cautioning on negative social media tools against creating false propaganda especially on religious matters, Zhimomi mentioned that he has witnessed the contributions of the legislators towards Churches developmental activities as well. He emphasised that whoever holds the power could speak for the minority hence, one should stand with them. “Nagas are growing but there's still more to go and that the leaders are tirelessly working on it,” he observed.

Khehoshe Yeptho, President NDPP Zunheboto, opined that “the higher and bigger the census, and number of voters, the wider opportunity it is for development and also for the delimitation process.” He cautioned the gathering “not to be swayed by false propaganda from social media but to stay focused on the development of the constituency and state, by supporting their representative.” 
Others who spoke during the meeting were Hekhushe Shikhu, President BJP Zunheboto, Khuketo Yeptho, President NPF Zunheboto, Aheto V Yeptho General Secretary NDPP, Nagaland and Vikuto Phuleshe, General Secretary, NDPP Nagaland.

The meeting was attended by GBs from all 17 villages under 35 AC Zunheboto, GBs from all 13 Sectors, NDPP party chairman and Secretary from all 13 sectors, Sumi Kukami Hoho, Zunheboto Town GB Association, Zunheboto Town Kukami Kuqhakulu, NDPP CEB members, NDDP Zunheboto, NDPP 35 AC, BJP Zunheboto, NPF Zunheboto and well-wishers, it added.
