Chümoukedima, February 9 (MExN): MotionX will host the Northeast Grand Dance League (NGDL) on March 21 at Zone Niathu by The Park in Chümoukedima, positioning the event as a major competitive platform for dancers from across Northeast India.
According to the organisers, the Northeast Grand Dance League is envisioned as a premier championship celebrating the talent, diversity and creativity of dancers from all eight northeastern states. Participants from across the region will compete in the league, which MotionX described as one of the most anticipated dance events in the Northeast.
Auditions for the league will begin on February 10 and will be conducted at multiple locations across Northeast India. Dancers from different states and backgrounds will be able to participate in the audition process, with selected performers qualifying for the grand finale scheduled for March 21.
The competition will offer a total cash prize of Rs 60,000. The prize money is sponsored by Ocean Hospitality Services, Mumbai, and TM Tostle, Chümoukedima.
Renowned dancer and television personality Akash Thapa will serve as guest judge for the grand finale. Akash Thapa is known for his appearances and performances on national television platforms including Super Dancer Chapter 2, Dance Deewane, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11, MTV Roadies, and India’s Best Dancer Season 3.
Zone Niathu by The Park has come on board as the hospitality and logistics partner for the event, while Ahibi has been named the event access partner, tasked with managing audience entry and access.
The Northeast Grand Dance League will be professionally managed by Meraki Entertainment, Nagaland.
