Mokokchung, April 25 (DIPR): Advisor (Health) North East Council (NEC) Secretariat, Shillong, Dr. Bamin Tada during his visit to Mokokchung on April 23, inspected the ongoing projects funded by NEC at Impur Christian Hospital (ICH) and Woodland Nursing Home at Tsusapang Ward, Mokokchung.
A programme was held at ICH where Dr Bamin Data mentioned his gratefulness to learn that ICH, which is the first Hospital in Nagaland, has come across many hurdles. He appreciated the contribution made by the CBCNEI and ABAM in running the hospital and rendering service to the needy for many decades. Assuring that NEC would help improve the hospital in any ways possible, the Advisor urged the concern authority to give their best effort in maintaining the hospital by judiciously using whatever fund is received.
Meanwhile, Dr Bamin Tada during interactions at Woodland Nursing Home mentioned that in North East Region especially in the tribal areas, Super Specialty Hospital is needed. He assured that he would do everything possible to help upgrade the hospitals in the region. Dr Bamin also mentioned his appreciation towards the proprietor of Woodland Nursing Home, Dr J T Walling for his effort and dedication in single handedly managing the Hospital since 1978, which he said is indeed an encouragement for the posterity and especially for those who are in the Medical Field.
Dr. J T Walling also thanked the Advisor for showing his concern in visiting the hospital and mentioned his gratefulness towards the NEC for all the support extended towards upgrading the Hospital. Executive Secretary ABAM, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger delivered the welcome address.
