Dimapur, January 18: About 75 candidates have enrolled for the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) sponsor programme of skill development training courses in Electrical (House wiring), Welding Fabrication and Stone Mason (all are 1-month course duration).
P. Togukha Achumi, General Manager, DIC, Dimapur was chief guest at the launching programme held at Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, (NTTC) Dimapur on January 17. The chief guest lauded the NTTC for taking the lead role in offering vocational skill development courses to the youth particularly the school/college dropouts in the State. He urged the trainees to sincerely avail the opportunity, exhorting them not to uproot the big tree for the plantation but plant the seedling which will bear fruits. He acknowledged the NEDFi’s Company Social Responsibility programme extended to the people of the State.
Others officials from Br. MSMS-DI, Dimapur, Tali Longchar, Dy Director (I/C) and the Branch Manager from NEDFi Dimapur, Debarshi Bhattacharyya also attended the programme. Er Petehetuo Miasalhou, Asstt General Manager NTTC, delivered the keynote address and Er Ebipeni Ezung, Manager, NTTC, Dimapur pronounced the vote of thanks.
It may be noted that the skill development programme was initiated and sponsored by Centre for Practical Livelihood Training (CPLT), a Society of NEDFi, Head Office at Guwahati.
