Terogvunyu Students’ Union holds 51st annual session
Kohima, December 30 (MExN): The Terogvunyu Students’ Union (TSU) held its annual session at the premises of Terogvunyu Baptist Church on December 30.
Speaking on the occasion as the guest speaker, Johny G. Rengma, director National Scheduled Tribes Finance & Development Corporation (NSTFDC), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India stressed on the need to focus on land resources and economic stability to march ahead with the rest of the world.
He said that there is always peace and unity as long as there is economic stability and quality social life.
If you want to be a good human being you have to prepare yourself and act from now, he said.
He said that Rengmas are educationally advanced but economically backward.
Touching on the district demand of Tseminyu, he was hopeful that chief minister Neiphiu Rio will pay attention to it during his leadership in the PDA ministry.
Sooner or later we will get the district, he said.
Lucy Tep, president Henbenju Students’ Union and Grace Thyü, president New Terogvunyu Students Union shared greetings.

The village has 145 government employees and 17 gazetted officers at present.
Later, the gathering observed one minute silence and paid homage to Vikho-o Yhoshu, Speaker NLA who passed away today in Mumbai.
TSU president Kyünilo Tep delivered presidential address.
The morning session was chaired by Hizenlo Tep while Daniel Tep proposed vote of thanks.
Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) general secretary John Kath including several other dignitaries attended the session.
