NEEPCO: DHEP carries out COVID-19 vaccination drive

Wokha, May 13 (MExN): The NEEPCO Health Centre, DHEP, Doyang has organised 5 COVID-19 vaccination drives at its Centre with the objective and fulfilling to rapidly immunise all eligible employees amid the second wave of infection.

As per a press release from Dr DC Haloi Deputy General Manager (M&HS) Doyang HE Plant, as many as 525 beneficiaries were inoculated during these drives under the guidance and assistance from District Immunization Officer, Dr Khelito Zhimomi and VCCM.

Beneficiaries included frontline workers (CISF, NAP), Health care workers, eligible NEEPCO Employees and their dependants, VKV staff and eligible beneficiaries residing in Doyang locality.

All the safety protocols were followed during the vaccination camp, the release added.

The Doyang Hydro Electric Plant is a 75 Megawatt Power generation plant of NEEPCO Ltd and its Health Centre provides all necessary medical and health services of the employees, their dependant and local populace living in proximity to the Project.

On behalf of DHEP management, Dr D C Haloi thanked the District Health Authority, Wokha for their collaboration and support by providing all the necessary vaccines and other items from Englan PHC Cold Chain Point. Further, he hoped that, NEEPCO would receive all essential aid from the District Health Authority in order to curb the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure uninterrupted power supply.
